Business Development Engineer — AI Factory
This is an engineer-led commercial role. You'll be the first technical point of contact for organisations planning AI factories — understanding their workloads, scoping the right AD-X deployment, and owning the relationship from first conversation to signed deployment.
Part solutions architect, part commercial lead: you turn a customer's ambition into a credible, deliverable plan, and you only sell what our engineers can stand behind.
What you'll do
Own the technical sales cycle for AD-X AI factory deployments — discovery, scoping, proposal, and close.
Translate customer workloads (training, inference, scale, timelines) into the right compute, power, cooling, and fabric configuration alongside our engineering team.
Build and present technical proposals, TCO models, and deployment roadmaps to both technical and executive stakeholders.
Partner with deployment and strategy teams so what we sell is exactly what we deliver.
Develop relationships with AI labs, research institutions, and enterprises building serious compute.
Represent Add Data in the field and at industry events.
What we're looking for
5+ years in technical sales, sales engineering, or solutions architecture for infrastructure, HPC, cloud, or hardware.
Strong grasp of AI/ML infrastructure: GPUs, interconnect, data-centre power and cooling, and what training at scale actually requires.
Able to hold a credible technical conversation with engineers and a commercial one with executives.
Track record of owning complex, high-value, multi-stakeholder deals.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Nice to have
An existing network in the AI, research, or data-centre space.
Experience selling capital-intensive or turnkey infrastructure.
A technical degree (EE, CS, ME) or equivalent hands-on background.
